Bong Superintendent wants county lawyers to drive local development.

Gbarnga, Bong County – Bong County Superintendent Loleyah Hawa Norris has called on legal professionals from the county to return home and contribute to its growth and development.
Her appeal came during the opening ceremony of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Gbarnga, which drew a large and diverse audience.
In her remarks, Superintendent Norris highlighted the critical role lawyers play in strengthening institutions, promoting justice, and fostering sustainable development. She stressed that their expertise and leadership are urgently needed to build a more transparent, equitable, and accountable governance system in Bong County.
“Your expertise is not only vital in courtrooms but also in crafting policies and frameworks that ensure fairness and justice for all,” Norris said. “Bong County looks to its sons and daughters in the legal profession to help steer the county toward lasting progress.”
She further emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity among citizens, leaders, and professionals across all sectors. According to Norris, meaningful development can only be achieved through collective commitment and shared responsibility.
“Development is not the government’s task alone,” she stated. “It requires every one of us—lawyers, teachers, businesspeople, farmers, and youth—working together to uplift our beloved county.”
Her message resonated with many in attendance, especially amid ongoing discussions about local empowerment and resource decentralization in Liberia.
