On March 18, 2025, violent erupted between the Glaro and Katiabo, over a disputed land, prompting River Gee County Superintendent Mike T. Swengbe to lead a team of Joint Security forces, including soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia to Kiteabo and Glarro to restore peace.

“Let us remember that our strength lies in our unity and our ability to resolve conflicts peacefully. We stand together in our commitment to fostering an environment of understanding, respect, and cooperation.”

He calls upon all stakeholders to join us in this effort for peace and to ensure that the safety and well-being of all community members remain a top priority.
