LDEA Women’s Association inducts new leadership

Other representatives from various security agencies commended DEAWA for its seamless leadership transition.
Monrovia, January 30, 2025: The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency Women’s Association (DEAWA) has inducted a new leadership that will spearhead the organization for the coming years.
Following an intense election that took place on September 30, 2024, the Drug Enforcement Agency women’s organization elected Jenneh Blama as President and J. Welleh Bropleh as Vice President.
Other elected officials are Lulu Yei Rogers as General Secretary, Bendu H. Bayoh as Financial Secretary, Samettie N. Chea as Treasurer, and Caroline Garmondeh as Chaplain.
The group has pledged its commitment to unity, capacity building, equality, and equity within law enforcement.
The induction ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the LDEA headquarters in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly inducted President, Jenneh Blama, appreciated LDEA leadership and the election commission for their support and role in conducting a successful election.
She thanked the outgoing leadership for its service to the group.
At the same time, she emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration as they take on the group’s leadership.
Madam Blama also committed to building a stronger foundation for the group by enhancing opportunities for women in the LDEA.
She pledged to work toward strengthening every fabric of the organization.
For his part, the Director General of the LDEA reaffirmed his commitment and support to empowering women.
The event was graced by representatives from the Liberia Female Law Enforcement Association (LIFLEA), the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), and the Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation Women’s Association.
