President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a condolence message to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China, following the news of a tragic landslide which buried between 30 to 40 people and affected more than 508,000 people in the Sichuan Province as a result of a heavy down pour of rain.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Food and Enterprise Development Program for Liberia (FED) and Wienco, a leading agro-input dealer in Liberia have forged a partnership  intended to substantially increase farmers’ access to inputs and enhance crop yields. This new Public-Private Partnership will afford Liberian farmers the opportunity to significantly earn higher incomes from agricultural products.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has ordered the Public Works Ministry to erect safety signs along the newly dedicated Diablahn Gbezon Road (formerly Buchanan Highway) for fear of risking children and other commuters’ lives.
