Lawyers representing Christina Andrianopoulos, a U.S. citizen, who was reportedly kidnapped in Liberia, are resisting government’s request for the victim to be restrained from departing the country until her kidnappers are prosecuted or she should be ordered to provide testimony before a trial court.

At least 18 persons are said to have died during the March AD 2012 Term of Court. A brief statistical report released yesterday by Acting Chief Justice Francis S. Korkpor showed that 12 judges and magistrates died, while 6 judiciary staffs died as well.
