With the Unity Party primaries around the country now an issue of history, it appears that most incumbent lawmakers particularly from the ruling party have begun to fall from grace to grass as their quests to get another term in the first branch of government appears to be sailing on sinking sand.

A gruesome murder of a father Michael Whitfield during an alleged tussle with two of his sons Michael Junior Whitfield and Joseph Slobber has left residents of Kpan Town, Kebbah community in Barnersville in disbelief.

As though the dust was settling down in the Congress for Democratic Change following last week’s apparent internal wrangling  over call for two party executives -  National Chair Senator Geraldine Doe Sheriff and National Secretary General Acarous Gray to resign in order to contest in the pending elections, a new twist has emerged at the CDC National Headquarters  in Congo Town with the embattled Chair Doe Sheriff threatening to arrest and incarcerate party members who engaged in violent activity on the party ground.

Bong County Representative Edwin Juah has accused the Ministry of Public Works dreadfully botching the construction of two bridges in the county, one connecting Liberia and Guinea, while the other, within his electoral district on the basis of “mere done care attitude toward the developmental initiatives.”
