Mother of Four Made Homeless

Hawa Bility, the mother of four children has been made homeless as a result of recent sea erosion in the South Beach-Gurley Street Community in Monrovia.

The children, between the ages 3  and 11 years and their mother are currently staying in a shelter put together with pieces of bricks left by the erosion.

Hawa, a petite trader in Monrovia, told this paper that several thousands of Liberian dollars, food, clothing and other basic house-hold materials as a result of the incident.

Since the death of her husband, Hawa and her children have for the past four years, living in that beach-side community in one of the three affected by the erosion.

According to her, there has been no offer for shelter at least until a place to stay is identified. The young widow, Hawa Bility is appealing for assistance from national and international humanitarian organizations.
