LFA ends training for coaches

The Liberia Football Association has ended one day training seminar for 75 coaches with B and C licenses at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium or ATS, in Monrovia. The technical department of the LFA said topics include licensing guidelines for coaches and modern coaching trend.

Liberia national amputee football team, a triple champion for Africa, along with Sierra Leone’s Amputee football teams will not participate in the 2014 Amputee Football World Cup due to the Ebola outbreaks in the two countries.

Amputees Visit To United States Postponed

The Liberia Amputees Football Federation and the United States Amputees Football Federation have jointly postponed the August 9, 2014 international friendly football match in Maryland, United States of America.  A dispatch from the International Coordinator of Liberia Amputee Federation, Mr. Duannah Siryon, indicates that the both parties (Team Liberia and Team USA) agreed to postpone the activities due to the Ebola escalating trend.

Min Gray pushes for 1m for county meet

Assistant Youth and Sport Minister, Murphy Gary has launched an appeal to the National Legislature for an increase in the national county meet budget to 1M. Speaking over the weekend to reporters in Monrovia Mr. Gray said if the Legislature increase the budget it will enable the ministry to meet the demands of this year county meet outside of Montserrado.
