Eh, This Our World! – Part I

This planet called earth is an interesting place not because it is the only well-known habitable planet, but also because it is the planet on which the creatures called human beings are found, which is an added headache.

Why do I say this? Well, it is extremely difficult to live in this world – on this planet. When you are sweet, you are criticized. When you are bitter, you are criticized. When you are sour, you are criticized. When you are bitter-sweet, you are criticized.  Eh, this our world!

Is it hard to live in this our world, my people. When you are poor, the world despises you. When you are rich, the world thinks you are the common enemy, while the Bible says it is hard for a rich man to enter heaven. It is really hard to live in this world.

It is difficult, my people. When you are slim, they call you bone. When you are fat, they call you Mother Pig or fat doh-me-doh. Shouldn’t I say it is difficult to live in this world, my people?

It is hard-oh, my people. It is hard to live on this planet called earth. When you like woman business, they gossip about you, saying that you are a woman lappa or womanizer, that you will die behind woman butt. They say you are a useless man. However, when you dislike woman business, when you are uninterested in it, they say that you are impotent – that you penis is dead. They call you “ja weede-ah di.” It’s hard-oh, my people.

It’s really hard to live on this planet. If you are uneducated, they describe you as uneducated and unlettered, despising your person and your opinions, arguing that you cannot meaningfully contribute to nation building and national development; however, when you are educated, they describe you as arrogant and know-man, contending that it is people like you that are spoiling the country. It’s hard, folks.

It’s really hard, my people. It’s hard to live in this world. When you are a non-believer and refuse to go to church, they say that you will go to hell. However, when you become a believer and go to church regularly, they say that you put the church business on your face. It is hard-oh, my people.

No joke, folks. It is really hard to live in this world. When you decide not to work hard, they say that you are lazy and useless; however, when you decide to work hard, going to work early and returning home late, they say that you are a workaholic whose job is not permitting him to enjoy life and to spend enough time with his family. It is really hard, my people.

Who will challenge me that it is hard to live in this our world? When you are a no-nonsense person, they say that you are aggressive and unreasonable; however, when you overlook things, they say that you are a boh-nuah, a nunu, a big gbeleh whose head other people will eat on. It’s really hard, my people.

Will anyone argue with me, saying that it is not difficult to live in this world? It is hard because if you are not interested in too much dressing business, they say that you are not presentable, that you are a careless person; however, when you like dressing business, when you like this clothes business, they say that you are a bluffer Joe and a materialistic person. Isn’t it hard to live in this world, my people? Eh, this our world!

To be continued…
Seriously, my people, aren’t these points to ponder?
