A one-day sports jamboree organized by the Monrovia YMCA gets under way this Saturday at the Lott Carey Baptist Mission sports pitch in Virginia, outside Monrovia.
According to the President of Monrovia YMCA, Laurence Fahnbulleh, all seem set for the one-day sporting activities, with members of Monrovia YMCA expected to converge at the headquarters of Liberia YMCA AT 9:30 am to board the bus for Virginia.
He said the Monrovia YMCA one-day sporting activities, in collaboration with the Lott Cary Mission School are in commemoration of its acquaintance day fellowship. The sports jamboree, sponsored by members of the Monrovia YMCA, is put at the cost of twelve thousand Liberian Dollars ($ 12,000.000).
It is expected to bring together teams from Hi-YS, Community-Y and Y-Phelixe clubs from various high schools and Colleges around Monrovia. Basketball, Kickball and Football are among other sports to be played this Saturday at the Lott Cary sports pitch.
