Baptists from across Liberia and other parts of the world are gearing up to celebrate the 100th Annual Session of the Liberia Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention.

According to a press release, this year’s historic celebration is being planned under the theme: “The Renewed Call to Follow Christ” with text from Matthew 16:24. Events marking the celebration will run from March 9-30, 2014.

Key activities include Thanksgiving & Worship Services, Baptist Walk, which will climax with a series of sporting events, dinner, honoring of stalwart supporters, LBMEC’s success and fundraising, among others.

The festivities are being scheduled for various locations, including the Good Hope Baptist Church in Marshall Township, Margibi County; the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary along the Robertsfield highway and the First Baptist Church in Edina, Grand Bassa County, respectively.

Meanwhile, the release said the final week of festivities will run from the 23rd through the 30th of March 23-30, at the Washington Chapel on the Ricks Institute campus in Virginia, outside of Monrovia.
