Mamba Point FC Celebrates First Victory

The LFA playoff 3rd division league has begun in Monrovia with Mamba Point FC nailing down Carlish FC 4-1 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in the first match. Supporters of both sides gathered at the ATS Monday to cheer their respective teams to victory.

Speaking to reporters at the stadium, the President of Mamba Point FC Abdalah Housseini expressed delight for the initial victory in the playoff. “All teams in the playoff are very strong and we ready to play them”, said Houseini.

He described the victory as wonderful because a lot of preparations were made, adding that with a new coach, the team is ready to go to the 2nd division this season.

“The match was important to us as the opening, and we were looking for goals and the players performed very well”, said a rather happy President. Mr. Housseini said he is thankful to the Mamba Point community for the support provided the team with specific reference to the Cape Hotel in the diplomatic enclave.

He also spoke of plans to establish a fan club in the community shortly and added that the players are at their best therefore, it was time to give them all of the support they need.

“I just want to inform Alo FC that we will be playing in our next game that we are coming for a win”, he added. The Manba Point FC President said his love for the game led him to organize the team in the community and he was determined to take it to the top with support of the players and residents.
